Remember that we are the largest free online dating service, so you will never have to pay a dime to meet your soulmate. I call BS on that. I've seen Ford in a lot of films. He works hard in all of them. Heck, one measure of whether or not an actor did a good job or not, is whether you remember them being in the film. That to me is a great actor. Ford has played the president, a fugitive , an adventurous crusader, a cowboy Gunsmoke, The Virginian... His acting would be part of it, but that doesn't make it the best Harrison Ford movie. DeNiro's best movie isn't the King of Comedy - but that's where he does his best acting. John Wayne's best movie isn't True Grit even though that's the one he got an Academy Award for. Ford is one who sure made a buttload of movies. Most pretty darned good ain't seen em all. I could only list ones of his that I love, but not sure I could pick a favorite based on Ford's part. Some movies seem to be designed around the actor, and some not. Cause some actors are just good because we like how they look, or are just popular with us. But might not necessarily be able to do different roles without their characters in different movies seeming alike - acted about the same. I figure I consider Ford to be somewhere in the middle, leaning towards the 'good' end. Stuff like acting, directing, and writing does make all of the difference don't forget lighting and camera angles and lenses and music either though. Anybody can throw a story or movie together, but real skill in things like acting, writing, and directing makes it magical. You can like a subject or genre, and so be blind to a lacking in these areas. But when you have it, then you know the difference. That's why I like The Walking Dead so much. I don't really care as much that it's about zombies or is post-apocalyptical, or anything else like that. That's why I didn't even watch any of it at all until about 4 seasons had already been out. But it immediately grabbed me, due to the storytelling, directing, and acting. I don't care what it's about, or who's in it... But just taking good techniques off of the shelf and mixing them together doesn't cut the mustard. Ford's movie Blade Runner... Because '1' got so messed up that the movie practically doesn't really exist anymore. One of the best movies of all time for me at least , and it no longer exists. First the director screwed with it afterwards, then for some odd reason any copy that I buy brand new is made from edited-for-t. I checked out that recent 'remastered' package that allegedly has everything restored and has several of it's different variations to choose from. And the screw-ups are still there. Like something's permanently lost. Very few of us know the difference. What to look for. I know particular scenes to look for, and how they really were... It does make a difference. The real movie doesn't exist anymore, except for some who may have the original VHS before the director pulled them all and before any t. So, I just don't feel like a Blade Runner 2 will compare. And if it does, it won't matter because the original doesn't really exist anymore. But few will really know what I mean by that. The impact that Star Wars had in the context of the 70's, for example, was really the 2nd of a one-two punch that was started by 2001 A Space Odyssey. Yea, good actor, and great parts. Many great movies there. If they do a Blade Runner 2, which he's supposed to be in... But they probably will.
